At Epi Rent a Car, we believe that the success of a business is not measured only by numbers, but by the stories we build alongside our clients. Over 50 years ago, in Monte Gordo, Mr. Epifanio and Mrs. Efrozina began this journey that continues to be an example of dedication, commitment, and family values.

From Monte Gordo to the heart of Portugal

We started modestly with a small car rental business in Monte Gordo, always aiming to provide the best possible experience for our clients. As we grew, we expanded our operations to Faro Airport and, more recently, to Lisbon Airport, but our essence remained the same: caring for every client as if they were part of the family.

Our journey through time

1968

Foundation of Epiauto

The company was born in 1968, founded by Mr. Epifânio and Mrs. Efrozina, with a vision based on client proximity and trust in the automotive sector.

1994

Expansion to Faro

The opening of the office in Faro marks the beginning of the company's geographical expansion, strengthening its presence in the south of Portugal.

1996

Brand Evolution – Epi Rent a Car

The company began adopting the name Epi Rent a Car, reflecting a phase of growth, modernization, and consolidation in the car rental market.

1997

Entry of the Second Generation

Miguel Queiroga, the founder's son, joins the company, beginning the gradual transition to the second generation of family management.

2010

Start of Activity in Lisbon

Epi Rent a Car begins operations in Lisbon, expanding its national presence and operational capacity.

2012

Strengthening Family Leadership

Ana Margarida, the founder's daughter, joins the company to strengthen the management structure and family continuity.

2013

Continuity of the Family Project

Following the passing of the founder, Mr. Epifânio, the company's management is assumed by his son Miguel Queiroga.

2024

Opening of New Office in Prior Velho

The inauguration of the office in Prior Velho reinforced the strategic presence of Epi Rent a Car and its responsiveness to the market.
